Presentation Date/Time: Monday, March 24, 2025 at 2:50 PM–3:40 PM
Presentation Room: Zlotnik 1/2 (M1)
How can students navigate the increasing number of retractions in an age of ever-changing technology? How can librarians effectively model ethics and research integrity? We will explore how librarians can guide patrons in their approach to research, how to interpret warnings and how to understand the language surrounding research integrity.
Discovery, Information Literacy and Summarization: Keeping Libraries Relevant in the Age of AI
Presentation Date/Time: Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 9:00 AM–9:50 AM
Presentation Room: Zlotnik 1/2 (M1)
As AI transforms how students search, summarize, and access information, libraries risk disintermediation. This session explores how students use AI for tasks traditionally guided by libraries, and highlights strategies for libraries to stay relevant by helping students critically assess AI-generated content and results.
